NUST is a Government sector university run by Pakistan Armed Forces whose main campus is in Islamabad, Pakistan. The University provides undergraduate and graduates degrees, including Ph.D. and professional qualifications.
Established in 1991, it was originally established for the needs of the commissioned officers by merging Pakistan Armed Forces Engineering Colleges and Schools.
NUST Technical Education
Established to offer high-quality technical education in Pakistan for fast industrialization. NUST followed an American university model and emphasized practical science and engineering laboratory teaching.
It has been a major contributor to the establishment of standards in engineering, mathematics, and technology education in Pakistan and is widely recognized for its innovation and academia, making it one of Pakistan’s most prominent schools for higher education. The University is also home to a National Science and Technology Park recognized by the IASP (International Association of Science Parks).
NUST was created in 1991 via the fusion of military and civic education resources. Following its establishment, previous military schools and colleges were incorporated into NUST institutions. The first college to join NUST was MCS in 1991.
The National University of Science and Technology In 1993, the university received a charter and the university received CEME and MCE. CAE and PNEC became components of NUST in December 1994 and November 1995 respectively. All the constituent institutions were renovated and in September 1997 MS programs began at CAE.
MS programs were begun at PNEC in 1998 and the same year the bachelor of dental surgery was begun at AMC. The ISO 9001 certification was obtained in 1999 by CEME and CAE. The School of Electrical and Computer Science (SEECS) was founded in Islamabad and the NUST Business School (NBS) was created.
NUST Department and Students
Since 2016, NUST has had more than 15,000 full-time students and more than 20 departments with more than 1,280 teaching personnel. It ranks as one of the top 50 institutions below age 50 in the QS World Ranking and is rated as one of the top 4,000 universities worldwide.
It is rated the number 1 university in Pakistan by QS World in 2021. QS is in the world’s top 300 in electrical engineering and the top 500 in business and mathematics. NUST is a member of the Commonwealth University Association, the Academic Impact of the United Nations, and the Talloires Network.
NUST is the first model university created by the Korean KAIST Ministry of Science and Technology. There are almost 7,000 students, of whom 102 are foreign and 884 are post-graduate students. In 2015, over 70,000 applicants submitted applications for the NUST undergraduate program.
NUST has the Learning Management System installed (LMS). It provides a comprehensive platform for teachers and students to learn and develop. The ideal is to improve the efficiency and efficiency of the learning process. Online learning covers features such as courses administration, file management, user management, user communication, online grading system, offline/online application, and other associated activities for academics.

NUST Campus Islamabad Sector H-12
The H-12 Islamabad campus was launched in 2008. Apart from the NUST headquarter. The schools and institutions relocating to this campus include the Civil and Environmental Engineering School. The School of Mechanical engineering, the School of Electoral Engineering and Computers. The School of Engineering for Chemical and Materials, the Research Center for Modeling and Simulation, the School of Natural Science.
Hostels are available on campus for both male and female students. Hostel facilities include bathroom courts, basketball, and gyms. Some hostel rooms have bathrooms, while some have communal bathrooms.
Electrical and mechanical engineering college Rawalpindi (CEME)
EME is the biggest component of NUST college located on Grand Trunk Road in Rawalpindi. The campus contains every facility on campus, auditorium and conference hall, housing, and meal facilities. The library, with a collection of 70,000 books, is completely digitized.
Military Signal College (MCS)
It was established in 1947 after Pakistan’s independence to train personnel of the Pakistan Armed Forces and is located on the Hamayun Road in Rawalpindi Cantt.
Aeronautical Engineering College of Risalpur (CAE)
The College has four departments: the Department of Aerospace Engineering, the Department of Avionics, the Department of Manufacturing and Humanities, and the Department of Science.
Military Engineering College (Pakistan) (MCE)
On this site is the College of Civil Engineering and the National Institute of Transport. Founded in 1948, MCE is one of the earliest member NUST colleges. The campus has labs, a computer facility, a 41,000 volume library, sports facilities, and dormitories.
