Ijma- General Consensus of Ulema
Sources of Islamic laws
Islamic students use the sources of the Shariah law to clarify and clarify the Shari’a. There are four sources of Islamic laws that are universally accepted by all Muslims, representing the Koran, the Sunnah, the Ijma ‘(Consensus) and the Qiyas (analogy).
Say, adapt to God and also the Messenger; and, if you change, God does not like those who reject. (P.3: 32.)
On the Holy Quran, God swears within the Quran that
It can be a revelation of the Lord of the worlds.(56:80)
The Quran is the initial and most vital supply of Islamic law. Muslims believe that the Quran is the direct words of God (SWT), as Muhammad (SAW) discovered. All sources of sharia law must be in an essential agreement with the Koran.
The Quran was written and preserved throughout the life of Muhammad (SAW), and compiled shortly after the death of Muhammad (SAW). When the Qur’an itself does not speak directly or very well a couple of sure subjects, Muslims only communicate different sources of shariah.
The way of life is the next necessary supply, and it is the traditions or practices noted by the Prophet Muhammad, the words, actions, silent statements of him and acknowledgments of statements and activities, several of which are recorded within the volumes of literature.
“You have within the Apostle of God an amazing pattern of behavior for anyone whose hope is in God and also on the Final Day.”
Once Muslims have not been able to notice a selected legal decision within the Quran or the way. Community agreement or a minimum of the consensus of law students within the community is sought. Ijma ‘represents the unanimous agreement of Muslims on regulation or law at any given time.
Al-Shafi’s third supply, once Quran and way, was Ijma ‘. Ijma ‘of Al-Shafai’ was to be an associate degree Ijma ‘of all Muslims or, at least, all scholars among them.
The fourth universally accepted supply of Shariah is Qiyas (analogy). Often the case once a general principle can be applied to new things. not like the opposite sources, which are based mostly on more or less directly on the divine commandments. Qiyas depends on the judgment of man.
Qiyas represents the plan to deduce, from previous elections, a rule that would apply to a case ultimately linked by the Koran or the way of life. Qiyas is the most energetic apart from Usool al-Fiqh that makes Shariah alive and modern.
The diversity of opinions exists and existed since the beginning of the Muslim era. The conversation continues on the sources of jurisprudence. And there is no unanimous agreement on these sources. It was even thought that Prophet Muhammad possessed the aforementioned.
Difference of opinion between my community could be a sign of God’s generosity.
We must pray that the Supreme Being (SWT) guides the US. UU. On the straight path and stay connected to your right path. Following the trail of those whom the Supreme Being (SWT) has favored, with direction. Aameen
